Mouse and Mole Time Out review

Mouse and Mole

Written by Joyce Dunbar. Adapted by David Farmer.

Suitable for 3-7 year olds.

Presented by Tiebreak Theatre Company.
Directed by Dianne Hancock.

'Truly a flatshare made in heaven, Joyce Dunbar's Mouse and Mole (Elise Davison and Philip Oakland) are the most domesticated pair of small mammals since Kenneth Grahame's Mole and Ratty. These humorous stories, adapted by David Farmer, make a cockle-warming valedictory show for Tiebreak Theatre Company. Just 45 minutes long, it follows a year in the life of the two furry friends, who greet each season in turn, delighting in the minutiae of daily life and grappling with big ideas as they occur. Every activity brings a new adventure and a whole gamut of emotions - as any child will tell you. Liberal scatterings of boisterous play, whoops, squeaks and songs on stage prompt matching outbreaks of exuberance among the audience.'
